Sitting On The Doorstep
Thinking about the portion of childhood that is mostly unremembered. I’ve been noticing how we mostly extol children in terms of how they are moving toward adult behavior and thinking. I wonder why we are less enthused when they are fully as children? Completely in the quality of that which we don’t remember of ourselves. The doorstep is dusty from the wind.

Home
I thought I was paying attention. Once I really opened my eyes and began to look, I discovered I had only general understandings of nature’s time line. A few years ago my looking became more earnest. I found little of what I knew was true. Farming, gardening and recreational time outside was not enough until I really began to look. Today my sense of time and understanding is much more aligned with...

Tool
There is no doubt fear is an effective tool in the relationship of self to self and self to other. Much is–because the lever of fear lifted someone to action. Is fear the best tool? How often should fear be used? Is it time to retire fear and begin using other tools?

Sitting On The Doorstep
Thinking about the week. Yesterday was a rainy day that didn’t have any rain in it. Tuesday was St. Patrick’s, all about Ireland, which only makes sense because Patrick was English. Monday my taxes were due because they can’t be due on a Sunday. Is there a message to be found in these slight oddities? Maybe there ought to be a message. Maybe wishing for a message is message enough. Meanwhile, the...
